IOSH Managing Safely
Course Information
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) managing safety course is a 4 day course designed for people working in supervisory or management positions, who need a broad understanding of Health and Safety at work.
This course is approved by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is designed for those who wish to improve Health and Safety standards within their organisation.
Course Objectives
The aim is to provide these managers with the knowledge to help implement, assess and communicate Health and Safety best practices within the workplace.
Course Covers:
- Hazards within the workplace
- Risk Assessment
- Health & Safety legislation
- Responsibilities of Managers and Supervisors
- Principles of good practice
- Effective communication within Health & Safety
- Relevant Regulations within the workplace.
The course will also cover the main provisions of Health and Safety at work incorporating the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.At the conclusion of the course delegates are required to undertake a multi-format assessment. Delegates must complete their project and return it to the tutor within 10 days of the course completion date.On successful completion of this course, delegates will have an understanding of the legal requirements for risk assessment and be able to identify hazards both generally and from their organisations.
