Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Course Information

This course is ideal for smaller work place environments that present minimal health and safety risks i.e. small companies, offices, shops and employees who travel or work off site. Designed for those who wish to have a basic knowledge of First Aid. The course meets the recommendations by the health and safety executive for the appointed person rule and regulations 198.

Course Objectives

Students will cover the following topics:

  • Rules and regulations
  • Basic life support
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Fractures
  • Burns
  • Heart related conditions

This course can be specifically designed to meet individual work place risks covering specific injuries relevant to work environments.

Course Duration / Qualification 

A minimum of 4 hrs to a maximum of 6 hrs providing a recognized 3 year qualification (HSE).

Further information

To become successful the trainer will conduct a continuous assessment of all students during the course. The course is complete with handout folder and handouts and the option of a first aid manual.
